POSTHUMAN CUISINE

BRANDING & IDENTITY

I developed branding & identity for a new restaurant, POSTHUMAN Cuisine.
Using algorithms and robotics in the execution of a dining experience, the business aims to inform people of the technocultural revolutions occurring in the world.

Objective

Create an identity for a socio-political restaurant based on automation, intellectual property, and copyright.

Strategy

Design a dining experience that raises awareness about automated technology and copyright with analog techniques and generated imagery.

The restaurant features an automated staff of robotic chefs complete with augmented reality menus and mashup dishes.

Combining graphics generated in Processing with cut-up text sourced from the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, I crafted a pattern design that evokes the superimposed nature of creativity in the digital age.
